Have you ever considered that little is much with God? The world, and even some of the Church, adopt the view that much is greatness, but consider this:

GOD DOES MUCH WITH LITTLE

MOST WITH LEAST

AND EVERYTHING WITH NOTHING!

A little put into the hand of the Living God can achieve much through Him. The account of the feeding of the five thousand with just five loaves and two fishes is a great example of this truth. Matthew 14: 14 – 21

Only two men, Joshua and Caleb, out of millions of Israelites entered the Promised Land.

In the story of Gideon, Judges 7, God commissioned him to lead an army to victory against multitudes of Midianites. The Lord told him to reduce the number of men under his command until only 300 remained, “….lest Israel vaunt themselves against Me saying, “Mine own hand has saved me.” Judges 7:2

When it comes to the glory of God, the Lord does not need great numbers, because He operates for His glory and not the glory of man. He has always worked through a remnant. What a privilege to be a part in this day and this hour. God can do so much with what is apparently so little.

Do the members of the Body of Christ realise what lies ahead for the deposit of what God has placed within us? This is not for a special elitist company of people, because the glory of God is not about a special people, it is about a WONDERFUL GOD!

God’s creation declares His glory wherever you look. The scientists have discovered that there is enough energy locked up in one grain of salt, that if released, could power a home with electricity for one month. The scientists know the power is there, but thus far, they have not discovered how to release it. So it is with much of the Church….as in the natural, so in the Spiritual.

Within the kernel of a seed, lies the full potential of a new life locked inside, e.g. within a single acorn lies the full potential of a mighty Oak tree. Jesus said,”Except a corn of wheat falls into the ground and die, it abides alone: but IF IT DIE, it brings forth much fruit,” John 12:24

Our overcoming life in the Spirit is described in Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and THEY LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES UNTO DEATH.”

The incorruptible seed, containing all the DNA of Jesus Christ was placed inside you and me at our new birth when we were “born again” in God. We received salvation which was sealed in us by the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

A natural seed needs to be placed in the right environment to die, germinate and bring forth fruit. Paul said, “We die daily,” Indeed! God’s seed is within us and there will be a God appointed tomb, the right environment of His choosing, for me to die. Out of that tomb His life is produced from the DNA of the life of Christ within me in His incorruptible seed.

After the new birth, the kernel containing all the DNA of Christ has to crack to release the life of God within it. John 1:12 declares, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” Yielding to the pressure of God’s hand in our lives cracked the kernel to release His life. As we receive Him, so He gives us power “to become.” The incorruptible seed of God thus expands and grows within us, coming forth in demonstration of response, instead of reacting to situations. More and more I see that we were born to believe (what God says) and not “to know” everything. If the Lord thinks I need to know something He will show me.

Life’s disappointments fade in the light of knowing Him, for He is not a disappointment! When I am trespassed against, the life of God should come to the forefront in me. God is working with us so that when we default, we have a default setting, as in a computer, to the heart and mind of God that manifests, not the heart of “Adam,” the flesh reaction.

As I become “peace controlled” I enter God’s rest….where the Lord draws closer, our relationship sweeter and He reveals Himself to me.

Hebrews 4:11 seems to be a paradox, “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest,…..” but the word “labour” used here actually means “to give diligence to.” Therefore, in this light it reads as, “Let us give special care and attention to enter into that rest,” so the responsibility lies within us to “enter in.” My responsibility to maintain this walk is in “letting” the peace of God rule in my heart – in response, not in reacting to life’s trials.

REMEMBER………….

GOD PERMITS IN HIS WISDOM, THAT WHICH HE COULD PREVENT IN HIS POWER.

We delight the heart of God when we bow to Him in a situation and humbly say, “Amen, Lord.” Amen opens…….

THE AMEN HYMN:

What is that which harms thee
If thou sayest, “Amen?”
Every grave a cradle of fresh bliss again,
Let not understanding look upon each grave,
Faith has better eyesight than all nature gave.

Amen has within it
Power as yet unknown,
Unfound faith is hiding long before it’s grown,
Amen has much sweetness while things are still sour,
Amen is the father of the gladsome hour.

Who withholds his Amen
Finds the source of pain,
‘Tis a river flowing pain and pain again,
Amen once repeated finds itself in glee,
Flowing, flowing, flowing through eternity.

Amen is the finger
Opening to our sight,
Anthems loud and glorious made for darkest night,
Amen touches heartstrings long at rest, in sleep
Making chords so wondrous rise from every deep.
