Do I ignore or avoid certain members in Christ’s Body? Jesus said ” In as much as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to Me”. Matthew 25:45. These 3 little words carry a profound challenge, “in as much”.

Ephesians 3:17-19. “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with ALL (V 18) saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth and height; and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that you might be filled with ALL (v.19) the fullness of God”.

The ALL in v.18 is tied to the ALL in v.19.

Do I ignore people I feel uncomfortable with? Jesus was not a repecter of people, only mixing and moving with certain ones. He came for ALL mankind. He was not a social climber. He did not “climb up” but “climbed down” to us. He humbled Himself, left the glory of heaven and came amongst us, presencing us with His divinity. As He moves towards worthless people He creates value in us – agape love in action.

I may often cry to God, “I know not what to do”, BUT…….do I do what I know to do?

ACCEPTABLE TO MAN, OR GOD?

Pursuing the drive in me to be acceptable to man is not acceptable to God; living to people, people pleasing, instead of living my life to God, God pleasing, living my life for His glory. That thing that takes over in us, wanting to project a certain image whether it be function, lifestyle, dress, trying to gain my identity and credibility to be accepted by men, is an insult to God. I am accepted for Jesus’ sake, I am accepted in the Beloved.

What is my first point of contact with people? Looks can be very deceiving. Watch the witness of the Spirit within me! I must be sure I don’t discard the treasure of God in the earthen vessel, the message the life is writing.
