In our earthly pilgrimage and walk with the Lord, one of the greatest freedoms known to man is when God brings us to a place of realisation that we have nothing to prove any more. We are made in the image of God and He does not need validation, vindication, propping up or men’s efforts to prove that there is a God.

God has declared, “I Am that I Am.” Man cannot do anything against that fact. God is God. He is absolutely perfect in all His creation, including you and me, made in His image.

In times past some of us have believed we had a commission to try and convince others of what we believe. All this striving is “wood, hay and stubble.”

It is each person’s responsibility to find out what is the purpose of our generation and move into it. In purpose there is blessing, this is the day of the Body of Christ. There is a simplicity in Jesus Christ that I must not be corrupted from. Paul makes reference to this in 2 Corinthians 11:3, that our minds can “be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” What removes me from this simplicity? Pride.

If I am in the Body of Christ and functioning correctly in humility, pride cannot survive as I yield and submit. The moment I fall out with a member and rise up in pride, then I separate myself and put myself out. There is safety “in” the Body.

The marriage relationship is a perfect prototype for the Revelation of the Body. Ephesians 5: 22-33

Our lives are all about right relationships. The prayer of Jesus in John 17 for His Body was that “we all may be one.” Any believing which separates me from this truth is suspect. I cannot have to do with the Lord Jesus Christ, the Head, at the expense of the Body. If what I am believing does not join me to a Body of Believers I should seriously check what I am believing.

The heart of God and His purposes do not change, even if my circumstances do. As we function correctly in a healthy Body of Believers, the goal is to carry His presence into every area of our lives.

Psalm 45

v11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for He is the Lord, worship Him.

v13 The King’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

v14 She shall be brought to the king in raiment of needlework.

The above verses are a prophetic and beautiful picture of the Bride of Christ. In verse 13, the “wrought gold” of her clothing has been tried in the fire of God. The needlework of God, the Master Weaver, in our lives produces garments of truth which protect us on the outside, (the devil cannot operate in truth,) but are also glorious on the inside, (verse 13.)

God’s workings with us are continuous. There is safety in the Body He has placed us with, where we have safe relationships and can uncover ourselves in truth. God is weaving the garments of wrought gold to clothe us, (verses 13 – 14) as we yield under His mighty hand.

God’s purposes will not be thwarted. He will have a people, on this planet, who will not be removed from the “simplicity that is in Christ” – a Body of Believers with Jesus Christ as the Head who will glorify God’s great name.
