Arthur Burt was a very ordinary man who served a remarkable God and whose life became a prophetic signpost. His ceiling has become our floor to take the baton and press on to continue the journey forward.
From his home at Bron Wendon in Penmaenmawr, North Wales, people travelled across nations to hear Arthur Burt’s stories, teachings and Spirit-led insights—delivered with his signature blend of humour, urgency and reverence for the Word. Known affectionately as “Uncle Arthur,” he lived a transparent life dedicated to the glory of God, following a simple but life-changing call to “Go”, which carried him from Kent to more than 44 nations. Through his obedience, Arthur Burt helped prepare countless hearts to handle the presence and glory of God, echoing his well-known call: “Humble yourself! Prepare! The time is at hand!”
Although Arthur Burt went to be with the Lord in 2014 at the age of 102, the message God gave him continues to resonate globally through the fellowship, ministry and conventions at Bron Wendon and through the many lives shaped by his influence. Many from around the world have visited his home, Bron Wendon, in Penmaenmawr, North Wales, and many have come to the annual “Living Waters” conventions. Many know the story, “A house for the glory of God.”
Arthur and Marjorie Burt were married for 65 years and had nine children and more than 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As a family man, a preacher, teacher and storyteller, he’s been known in churches all around the world as “Uncle Arthur.”
He came to Wales from Paddock Wood in Kent, in England, where he was a pastor. One day in Paddock Wood the Lord spoke one word to Arthur: “Go.” He gave up his work in Kent and has taken a very specific message to some 44 nations for more than 50 years. He said it was one of painful obedience that he entered into delight and purpose, to help prepare a people to handle the glory of God… to His glory. He said, “Now that day is at hand…”
He’s often said “Big doors swing on little hinges.” Arthur Burt’s life changed when he answered the call of God to “Go.” Consequently, many lives all over the world were changed and refocused as he freely poured out the Word the Lord had given him.
His stories, teaching and proclamations echo deep ponderings over the Word. While he searched out the mysteries of the Kingdom, his life became an adventure exploring the ways of God in many nations.
With spontaneity, humour and serious outcries, Arthur emphasises, “Prepare! We’re in the last of the last days! Humble yourself! He’s calling for a people who can handle the Presence of God to the Glory of God! Jesus did everything with nothing. (John 5:30) We are ushering in the dawn of a new day. The time is at hand – the dispensation of the fullness of times, when there shall be no ebb…”
Arthur went to be with the Lord on August 28th, 2014. Aged 102 years, he has had a long and fruitful life serving the Lord and the Body of Christ.
He demonstrated by living in the presence and what it means to live one’s life to the Glory of God. His unique gifft of showing up with a timely word from the Spirit of God edified and changed thousands of lives around the world.
He lived a transparent life, always seeking to remain anonymous, not seeking the recognition of man, and in doing so, allowed the life of Jesus to manifest in and through him. Those of us who loved and lived with him miss him greatly.
God willing, this website, fellowship, ministry and conventions through Bron Wendon will continue, by God’s grace and mercy, to find expression in a many membered body worldwide.
If we fail to recognise that Arthur was just a very ordinary man, expressing and manifesting an extraordinary God, his life and message to us personally will be in vain. His whole life was a prophetic signpost, pointing the way for this generation. His passing has heralded the beginning of a new day for us, the threshold generation, looking for the coming again of Jesus. This is Tabernacles, of fullness that Arthur so prophetically taught and declared would be the responsibility of the Body of Christ, personally and corporately, to carry the Presence of the indwelling Christ as we fulfil our destiny on this planet.
With light comes responsibility and if we have received anything at all from God, by Arthur’s ministry, what are we going to do about it? Surely the time is now to take the baton and continue the race. Jesus said, “Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone, but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit,” John 12:24.
Humility is key! Humility is the opposite of pride. The love of God in 1 Corinthians 13, can only be lived out in our lives by humility, and true humility is the character of the indwelling Christ.

We may not have the same unique gift God gave to Arthur, but we do have the same calling, to live our lives to the Glory of God.
To recognise that God has given gift and calling to every member of the Body of Christ, is to allow and encourage, for the diversity of those gifts to manifest in each of us, to the Glory of God. The spiritual gifts are given to edify the Body and to prepare us for the work of the ministry. Ephesians 4:11-16 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up in to him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, making increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
However, the work of the ministry must allow and encorage every member of the Body that they truly have a part to play in a many membered Body being rightly related and submitted one to another, under the Head, our Lord Jesus.
Most of us appreciate the difference between spiritual gifts and natural, or practical gifts in people’s lives, but whether spiritual or natural, all are given of God, and we must learn that to enjoy the Shekinah Glory of His presence in our lives, all these gifts must be held to the the Glory of God.
1 Corinthians 4:6-7 “…That you might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another. For who makes you to differ from another? And what have you that you did not receive? Now if you did receive it, why do you glory, as if you had not received it?”
Finally, a favourite quote from Arthur, as we journey into this dispensation of Tabernacles and towards our divine destiny:
“Every somebody has to become a nobody and lose his identity in the Body because God will not give His Glory to anybody!”

“I do not pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from evil.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Sanctify them through your truth, your word is truth.
As you have sent me into the world, even so I have also sent them into the world.
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
That they all may be one, as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you have sent me.
And the glory which you gave me I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one.
I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.
Father, I will that they also whom you have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
O righteous Father, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me.
And I have declared to them your name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
No Ebb Prophecy
Many have heard and spoken about the “No Ebb” prophecy. Arthur said it was the only prophecy that he could remember, word for word, in eighty eight years of ministry:
“It shall come as a breath, and the breath shall bring the wind, and the wind shall bring the rain… and there shall be floods and floods and floods, and torrents torrents, and torrents, and torrents. Souls shall be saved like falling leaves from the mighty oaks, swept by a hurricane. Arms and legs will come down from heaven… and there shall be no ebb.”
Contrary to what many people may believe, Arthur never presumed, or claimed, that he would be around to see the fulfilment of this prophecy, but he had expressed a hope that he would see it fulfilled.
