Bron Wendon Fellowship is a House Church, birthed in the home of Arthur Burt, Bron Wendon, when the Lord directed Arthur to move from Kent, England to Penmaenmawr, North Wales in 1978. At this time the Spirit of God was beginning to reveal to Arthur that the traditional form of church gatherings, where a pastor, or leader of a congregation of Believers, or a guest speaker, (although greatly blessed of God), taking the majority of the time together was not necessarily God’s perfect plan for the Body of Christ. One of his favourite sayings was, “the day of the one man show is over”.
Under his leadership the local body of Believers began to be exercised to respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. In the Gathering each member was free to bring a spoken word, a hymn, a song, a testimony in line with the theme the Holy Spirit was bringing. Every member was encouraged to learn to be sensitive when gathered together as to how he, or she should participate.
Over the years we have sought, under the Lord’s direction, in addition to the Sunday morning Gatherings, to hold bi-annual conventions encouraging the wider Body of Christ to join us at the Oasis Centre, (see Oasis tab at top of homepage for more information). In such Gatherings, led by the Holy Spirit, we believe God’s final purposes for this generation are incrementally being revealed.
Finally, the message and “The Revelation of the Glory of God” which the Lord imparted to Arthur, equipping him to carry it around the world to the Body of Christ, will find its manifestation and expression in a worldwide company of Believers. God will manifest His final purposes through them, by His Holy Spirit, the fulfilment of God as revealed in Colossians 1:27-28:
“To whom God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: whom we preach warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus”.
