“The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it and all things were made for His glory.” This is my Heavenly Father’s world and He is fine-tuning us to see Him in everything. “God is all in all.”

A traveller journeying along an unknown way follows the sign post to a city until the destination is reached. He does not sit down by the sign post mistaking it for the destination! On our earthly pilgrimage with the Lord, little by little, line upon line, He teaches us His ways, reveals His truths to us and our spirit witnesses to the Holy Spirit as He guides us. After we have received the light and witnessed to the truth, the next step is to have it worked in to our lives in our daily circumstances, where it is wrought in and creation takes place in my being.

After the excitement of revelation I can make the mistake of thinking I am walking in the truth of it. My spirit has witnessed to the truth and I can talk, write or shout about it, but until I allow the Holy Spirit to work it in me in the school of life, I am like a man who sits by the sign post to the city, excited because he has found the way, but he will never reach his destination unless he moves. God will bring a set of circumstances for me to apply the revelation He has shown me.

First comes revelation, then the situation, then Holy Spirit creation as I yield to Him. The Master works with us to finely tune our lives to become carriers of His Presence.

Exodus 33: 11 -17 records where Moses was being instructed by the Lord with his continuing commission to lead the Israelites through the wilderness. In verse 13 Moses earnestly pleads with the Lord, “Now therefore, I pray Thee, if I have found grace in Thy sight, show me now Thy way, THAT I MAY KNOW THEE, that I may find grace in Thy sight…..”

The Lord answers Moses in verse 14, “And He said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

God’s fine-tuning produces vessels to carry His Presence. Moses earnest request was to know the Lord and His ways – may this be the desire of our hearts.

A hallmark of carrying His Presence is the “rest” of God. (v. 14)
