In this new dispensation of fullness, we have responsibility to “get with the programme,” and the programme is: the Glory of God. We mentioned last week that if, after all the teaching and revelation we have received, we continue to desire the recognition and praise of men, then all the revelation we received is in vain and the Holy Spirit will move us out of the way,for the time is at hand when God will fulfill His word to Himself and no flesh shall glory in His presence.
The Body of Christ is the beneficiary of what the Lord is doing between Himself, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, for His glory, not any man’s.
Isaiah 42:8-9 “I am the Lord, that is my name, and my glory will I not give to another, nor my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare….”
Joshua 1
3 “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, I have given that to you.
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life…..I will not fail you nor forsake you.”
The condition that applies to the above verses is humility.Many have misinterpreted verse 3 and taken it to mean prosperity in materialism, (not that God is against wealth He has granted us, if we are good stewards of it for His glory.) Kingdom prosperity is community and relationships, first with our Father God, and then with one another in His Body. The Lord has faithfully proved Himself so many times to us, now He wants to do something different. God intervenes in men’s ways in line with His purpose. In times past many men have not had the ability to get out of the way and not be seen, and have received the praise of men. God’s displeasure is manifest by a withdrawal of His grace and anointing, which are given for the extension of His kingdom and not for men’s glory. In this new day men will not be permitted to stand for a fair show in the flesh. God is not mocked.
God is seeking to bring about the establishment of His kingdom here on earth through us, and we need to get with the programme, His programme, to fulfill His promise to Himself. Numbers 14:21 “But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.”
Joshua 1:5 quoted above declares that no man will be able to stand before us…..If I am daily walking with the Lord in relationship with Him in humility, I can trust Him to deal with men “that stand against me.” I do not have to “fight my corner.” God does not vindicate a man but He vindicates the truth we stand for. His Son, Jesus Christ is all truth, and He cannot deny Himself. God intervenes in men’s ways in line with His purposes. I need to get out of the way, let go and LET God….do His perfect work, for His glory.
Hebrews 12:25-28 declares the shaking that is coming to the earth, permitted by the hand of the Lord. Everything that can be shaken is being shaken on our planet. Only those who are IN the Shaker, our God, cannot be shaken, if we are rooted and grounded in Him, for “we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved,” Hebrews 12:28. This is the time for the Indwelling Christ to be manifest in His Body. We do not need to fear, “Be strong and of a good courage, do not be afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go,” Joshua 1:9. Our God is providing great opportunities for us to share the Living Christ with a fearful world.
