Our Sunday morning Gathering began with the following word from the Lord:

“For I am about to take you into a new dimension that I have prepared for you. PITCH YOUR TENT UPON THE OTHER SIDE! You have looked on flesh so long, but I am Spirit. You shall not stumble. You SHALL know the way I am leading you.”

God encourages and challenges me to move on. “Pitch your tent on the other side!” The Spirit of God will always come to move me on in my believing to a higher gear. I cannot get into this new dimension without the Guide, the Holy Spirit. My theology can take me up to a given point that I am familiar with, but when God speaks, He over-rules my theology. My dependency must be on my Guide, the Holy Spirit, with His “proceeding” word. Jesus said.”…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that PROCEEDS from the mouth of God,” Matthew 4:4.

A “proceedING” word becomes a “proceedED” (dead) word when the Lord brings a fresh word of direction and challenge…..”Pitch your tent upon the other side.” My believing has to change with God’s challenge.

God is always dealing with my heart which is the seat of all my believing. Matthew 12:34 Jesus said, ” For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks,” and Proverbs 23:7 “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” But God says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts,” Isaiah 55:8-9. Only as I bow and allow my heart to be Christ ruled, is it purified in it’s believing. The Holy Ghost abiding within us is the only One who can discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart, Hebrews 4:12.

Our personal challenges are all different but God is working to the same end – the work of purifying our hearts. “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God,” Jesus said, Mattthew 5:8. Heart purity is seeing God in ALL things. The heart is the seat of my responsibility. As I submit and yield to the work and word of God, it will produce the lifestyle and quality of life that God wants to bring me into. It is my birthright, it is not some rare, “to be hoped for” experience, it is available to me! It is God’s rest, His presence, that “settled place of quiet and safety,” (Jeremiah 15:19 Amplified version.)

When the Spirit of God brings fresh light and revelation I can be deceived by thinking the anointing “ON” is a finished work “IN” me, but an anointing “ON” precedes the work “IN”. God sees me as a finished article by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, but my present condition, in reality, is what I am responsible for. The truth is that I am no further on in God than where I am at my lowest moment. God sees! But as I respond to Father’s loving correction and direction in my life, the low moments get less and less.

We are encouraged to “Prepare ye the way of the Lord.” In yielding to the Lord, my mountains will come down, my valleys of despair will rise and I will walk on an even plain. Isaiah 40:3-5, “…Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall be made straight and the rough places made plain. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed….”

At Calvary Jesus endured excruciating physical pain, but far worse for Him was the agony of the loss of His Father’s presence, something He had never known before. Jesus took on our sorrows at Calvary and lost the Presence, paid the ultimate price in His sacrifice so that we do not have to lose the “Presence.” God’s purpose is that we live in His Presence, His Rest. The Spirit of God is wooing us to come up to a higher level to walk in….to “pitch our tent on the other side.” “My presence shall go with you and I will give you rest,” Exodus 33:14. My responsibility is to go on with the Guide.

NEVER SURRENDER THE SENSE OF HIS PRESENCE TO A SITUATION!
