In this world there are many voices, thus it is important to recognise God’s voice.  When I develop a personal relationship with the Father, I will learn to recognise His voice.

This is how Jesus lived. John 5:30 (Amplified version)    “…..as the voice comes to me so I give a decision…..”.

1    I trust the voice

2    I believe the Word

3    I prove the truth

The Voice is a personal relationship with the Father, the Word is the Son and I prove the truth.

Consider the complete text of John 5;30 (Amplified) : Jesus said,  “I am able to do nothing from Myself (independently of My own accord – but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders).  Even as I hear, I judge (I decide as I am bidden to decide.  As the voice comes to me so I give a decision), and My judgement is right (just, righteous), because I  do not seek or consult My own will.  (I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose) but only the will  and pleasure of the Father who sent Me”.    This is the position the Lord is seeking to bring us to.

Our make-up is such that we like to know and understand everything, but this is not God’s way.  We were never meant to know in our spiritual walk, we are meant to believe.  As we exercise the gift of faith, we prove God and thus learn to trust Him.

Hebrews 11:1  “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”, …….as yet!

In Mark 8:22 Jesus took a blind man by the hand and led him out of the village.  Jesus then spat on his eyes and healed his blindness.   What a demonstration of blind faith!   What a result!    We may find ourselves in circumstances when God requires us to put our hand in His and allow Him to lead us.   He leads us out to bring us in…..out of……into…..the Promised Land!

Jesus is the author and finisher of faith…..”….the life I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God….”,  Galatians 2:20.   Faith enables us to prove the truth and come to trust the Father more and more.   Though Jesus gifts us with His faith, He never needed it for Himself because He completely trusted His Father and came to earth to fulfil His Father’s will.  (John  5:30 quoted previously).  It is we who need to operate in His gift of faith because “Without faith it is impossible to please God”,  Hebrews 11:6.  Why?  Because in the trial of our faith God proves He is who He says He is, we learn to trust Him more, know Him more…..and that is the desire of His heart, to fellowship with His creation bringing many sons to glory.

“PROVE ME NOW,  saith the Lord”   (Malachi 3:10)
