When we come to an impasse in our circumstances we do well to take stock of our position asking the Holy Spirit for guidance. If we have the confidence that we are mid-field in a situation birthed of God, be encouraged that you are experiencing and proving God in a growing season in the trial of your faith. When something is birthed of God, it will come to fruition and fulfilment. Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”.
God will finish the work HE started, for His purposes and glory. It is so important to make sure before we begin something that it is birthed in God, then when our faith is tested, we have confidence in God that He will work things out according to His divine purpose. That which is birthed of God cannot die. When God has spoken, ignore the murmurings of an unbelieving heart that would question God. God calls unbelief evil:
Hebrews 3:12 “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God”.
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent: has he said and shall he not do it? or has he spoken and shall he not make it good?”
Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. The word substance translated here from the Greek text, can also be translated as “title deed” . We understand that if we have the title deed to something, it is a legal document recognised as ownership. Oh hallelujah! ……..faith is the title deed of things hoped for!…….the evidence of things not seen…….as yet.
Habakkuk 2:3 “The vision is yet for an appointed time…..though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry”.
Christ’s sacrificial death on Calvary, paid the ultimate price with His shed blood for the salvation of mankind, to all who will receive Him as Saviour. When we enter into salvation and offer Jesus our life in exchange for His, this royal exchange gives us the title deeds to our inheritance in Him. The finished work of Calvary has made available everything needed to live a godly life in all the fullness of Christ. Everything has been done from heaven’s side. I have a new identity in Christ but I must choose to wear the royal robes He has provided. It is no longer I that lives……but Christ that lives in me! Everything we have ever lacked is replaced in all the fullness of Christ’s provision.
Our Heavenly Father is the great I AM ! Confidence in this fact enables me to enter into the rest for the people of God, declared in Hebrews 4. This is my birthright that I hold the title deed to. When I release the control of my life, the steering wheel, to Jesus, then I discover the joy and peace of being chauffeur driven, by the divine chauffeur!
