Ephesians 3:16 (NLT) “I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit”.

Our heavenly Father has reservoirs of unlimited resources available in heaven that we have thus far not tapped into. They are our inheritance in Christ for God’s divine purpose in each of our lives.

Here is a quote from Hudson Taylor, missionary to China: “Depend on it. God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so”.

Psalm 78: 18-21 After all the mighty miracles the children of Israel had experienced and seen with their own eyes, they questioned in doubt and unbelief that God could make provision for them in the wilderness. God had executed His plan for their exodus from slavery in Egypt, parted the Red Sea to enable their crossing on dry land, brought water out of the rock, led and protected them by cloud and fire and yet they angered the Lord in unbelief and questioned, “Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?” When we allow doubt and unbelief in the door of our hearts, we have made room for the devil’s foothold. These bad bedfellows need kicking out. They are the devil’s territory. There is no room for them on resurrection ground!

I should never use the phrase “Can God?” GOD CAN! It is needful for every child of God to find Him in the trials of life, walk with Him where He leads and trust His word. When we are in God’s waiting room our responsibility is to trust and lean hard on Jesus. Only then will we tap into His glorious UNLIMITED RESOURCES to carry us through…….”empowered with inner strength through His Spirit”. The King James translation of this verse reads: “That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might, by His Spirit in the inner man”. Ephesians 3:16

The spending power of God Almighty is limited by the choice of His children!

God shows no favouritism. Acts 10:34 “……I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.” God loves us all equally, but we limit Him and His work in us by the choices we make each day. It was said of the children of Israel, “How often did they provoke Him in the wilderness and grieve Him in the desert! Yes, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.” They did not recall the past of God’s miraculous provision. They refused to seek His face, complaining and rebellious, instead of trusting.

Clearly our wrong choices limit the Unlimited One. God has done His best for me in line with my choices. His unlimited resources are available to me if I choose according to His glory. Today, I am the full expression of my past choices. The fact that I have not always made the best choices in the past, does not mean that I cannot make the right choices now. As I submit to the Holy Spirit’s leading, He will guide me into all truth and clearly show me the right path to choose. In God we should never allow the wrong choices of our past to define our future. In Jesus Christ, our Living Hope, He makes all things new. His grace is the enabling power to be what He created me to be, and do what He created me to do.

Isaiah 43:18-19 “Do not remember the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth…..I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” God CAN make a way where there is no way, out of His unlimited resources.

God’s plan for our lives is that from these unlimited resources, He might fill us with all His fullness. Ephesians 3: 17-20……”That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that you be rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, the length, depth and height, and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we may ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Dear Lord, help us not to limit You, the Unlimited One. Help us to walk in humility and tap into the unlimited resources of our birthright in Your wonderful Son, Jesus Christ. You are truly an amazing Father. Amen.
