Romans Ch: 12 – 1&2
Speaks of presenting our bodies a living sacrifice unto the Lord
and not being conformed to this world, but being transformed by the renewing of our minds.
The two words CON-FORMED & TRANS-FORMED carry great revelation when the Holy Spirit enlightens me to the real meanings.
Of course we are to be CONFORMED to the image of the Son but when I am CONFORMED to this world it means I stand in agreement with the worlds values, ideas & standards.
To be CONFORMED to the image of the Son I must be in agreement with God’s values, ideas & standards.
This is a choice where I completely yield and surrender to the latter.
In so doing I am being TRANSFORMED by the renewing of my mind.
The word transformed comes from the Greek word metamorphosis which is the process of change, which takes place supernaturally,just like the caterpillar changes into a butterfly, or the tadpole into the frog.
There is no effort or striving to become what they were purposed to be:
John Ch:1 v11 declares “He came unto His own and His own received Him not, but as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become sons of God”…
Becoming is a process related to responsibility. My responsibility is to yield and surrender to the Holy Spirit and in so doing,
He gives me the power or enabling grace to become a son of God.
